Who We Are

Ask the Mold Experts

Lab Results, LLC is a full service indoor air-quality consulting firm based in Princeton NJ. We specialize in the detection, location, diagnosis and prevention of mold and moisture problems in all indoor environments.

Founded in 2003 by Jason A. Earle, Lab Results has been a pioneer in the integrated use of traditional testing, detection and investigative methods with mold-detection dogs. In 2003, Lab Results brought Oreo, the first mold detection dog in the northeast, to Princeton, New Jersey. At the time, she was one of approximately a dozen animals nationwide trained to perform this function. Lab Results now heads up a network of 86 certified mold-detection dog teams nationwide. This network gives us the ability to handle jobs of any size ranging from residential projects to multimillion-square-foot commercial and government facilities anywhere in the country.

Lab Results was also the first company in the US to combine the use of infrared thermal imaging cameras and mold detection dogs in the pursuit of elusive mold and moisture problems caused by faulty synthetic stucco (EIFS) installations. This combination of proven technologies has since been widely accepted throughout the industry as the most comprehensive non-destructive, cost-effective method of evaluating buildings of this type.

While traditional testing methods give you a vague idea that you may have a mold problem somewhere, they often provide very little meaningful data at all. Lab Results is often called in after other consultants have failed to diagnose or locate a problem. We have fine-tuned our procedures over the course of more than 1000 inspections to develop our proprietary methods. So you can rest assured you’ll get time-tested results, the first time.

Meet The Founder

Jason EarleHello and welcome!

Thanks for visiting our site.

Lab Results LLC is a full-service indoor air quality consulting firm that I founded in 2003 for very personal reasons.

After losing nearly 30% of my body weight in a 3-week period when I was 4 years old, I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Several of my father’s cousins had died from cystic fibrosis before reaching adulthood so, needless to say, the diagnosis devastated my parents. My mother, however, being a Registered Nurse and a strong-willed woman, dug deeper by demanding additional testing and a second opinion at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Six weeks later, a second set of tests revealed that the first diagnosis was wrong – I did not have cystic fibrosis. I was suffering from asthma compounded by pneumonia. To exacerbate the situation, allergy tests revealed that I was allergic to nearly everything in my environment; eggs, milk, grass, wheat, cotton, pollen, cats, dogs, soybeans, etc. A few doctors recommended a “bubble-boy” approach to treating my severe allergic sensitivities.

When I was 12 years old my family moved from the house in which I had grown up. Almost instantly, my allergies disappeared. I have not had an asthmatic episode in more than 17 years. When I look back, it is clear to me that I was living in a home with a chronically damp indoor environment. I distinctly recall the odors, the dampness in the basement, the feeling of a hundred-pound weight on my chest. At the time, the medical community had not yet widely accepted indoor mold growth and other byproducts of damp indoor environments as potent triggers for asthma attacks and allergies. It is now clear that the mold in my home had very likely made me hypersensitive to nearly everything. In the absence of this long-term exposure I have become extraordinarily healthy. It is hard to believe that the solution was so simple.

Mold is a subject I take seriously because it’s very personal to me. My childhood struggle sent me forth on a journey to learn how I could protect myself. Fueled by this passion, I began contacting industry experts, reading endlessly, searching and researching for clues or guidance toward a more practical solution than moving to a new house. Little did I know that in the years to come, this newfound knowledge would make such a meaningful, lasting and positive impact in the lives of so many people.

So I got down and dirty, rolled up my sleeves, and got into the mold business to learn as much as I could from the ground up. While working for a fast-growing mold remediation company with many of the most well-respected experts in the field, I began seeing huge voids in the way mold inspections were being done. They were random at best. Ask some questions, look around, take a ton of air samples, cut a hole here, cut a hole there, look inside the walls. This process was frustrating to me because it was expensive, time-consuming, destructive and, worst of all, very inaccurate.

It wasn’t long before I stumbled upon a more accurate way of locating hidden mold; mold-detection dogs. The concept of Mold Dogs™ was one that my colleagues laughed at. They thought it was ridiculous. At first, I was skeptical too, but I knew deep down there was something to it. We all know mold stinks and we know dogs can sniff out and locate the source of hidden things in a way that humans can’t. After all, we trust them to find mushrooms, bombs, drugs and missing people, so why not mold?

When we began to combine the use of Mold Dogs™ with the other conventional methods of mold testing and mold inspections, amazing things began to happen.

Several years later, with the distilled experience of more than 1,000 mold inspections and much trial and error, the Lab Results Mold Assessment Process (MAP) was created. Our proven mold inspection process is unique and works better than any other mold inspection method because it combines and integrates the most advanced, proven mold-detection and mold-inspection methods available in a way never done before. As new and better methods become available, we are prepared to embrace and integrate them too. This dynamic and proprietary combination of time-tested and proven techniques and technologies that make up the Lab Results MAP will chart the course to the resolution of a mold problem faster and more accurately than any other mold inspection company can.

No child, no family, should have to suffer an ordeal like my family did. A big problem is that there are not enough well-trained, properly equipped professionals in this country who truly understand indoor mold and moisture problems and their solutions, and those who do prefer to avoid residential work. We will work in all types of buildings, but the way I see it, children with asthma don’t live in offices. We prefer residential work for that very reason.

When we treat a sick home or workplace, and just one person is healed, everyone around them heals and benefits. This is the purpose of Lab Results.

Our company grows and evolves by the day, but our mission and purpose remains the same: Helping people breathe easier, one person at a time.

If you feel that your home or workplace is contributing to health problems in you or those you care about, you have an obligation to investigate the problem. We are here to make that process as easy and painless as possible.

I am available at 800-630-9047 ext.711 to answer any questions you may have.

Kindest regards,
